FAQ

Before you ask

The questions we hear most often. Something else on your mind? .

How do we start a project?

Send us a quick note about what you're trying to build. We set up a call, talk it through, and follow up with a written proposal covering timeline and price, before any code gets written.

Which technologies do you use?

Mostly React and Node.js on the web, Flutter for mobile, and AWS or Firebase for the cloud pieces. Nothing exotic. We stick to tools that have been around long enough to be boring.

Do you provide support after launch?

Every project ships with a short support window included. After that, most clients keep us on a monthly plan for bug fixes, small changes, and security updates.

How is pricing determined?

Depends on the scope. Once we've talked, we'll either quote a fixed price for well-defined work, or a transparent time-and-materials estimate if things are still fuzzy. Your call.

How long does a typical project take?

A small marketing site is usually 3 to 4 weeks. A proper web or mobile app is more like 2 to 4 months. We give you a real answer once we've seen what's involved.

Can you take over a project someone else started?

Yes, and we do this a lot. We spend the first few days reading the code and mapping what's already there before we suggest anything. If it's in rough shape, we'll tell you honestly.

Who will we actually be talking to?

The same people building it. No account managers in the middle. You'll share a Slack or WhatsApp channel with the engineers and designers on your project.

Do you sign NDAs? Who owns the code?

Happy to sign an NDA before we get into specifics. Once we start work, you own the code, the designs, and everything else we make for you. It's yours to keep.

Do you design too, or only build?

Both. We have designers on the team who work on UI/UX alongside the engineers. If you already have a designer or an existing design system, we're happy to work with that instead.

Where are you based and do you work remotely?

We're in Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. Most of our clients aren't. We work across time zones and jump on calls whenever schedules line up.
